Come to learn about creative ITS implementation solutions for small and rural communities. We looking forward to an outstanding response to the Call for Abstracts to build a strong technical program for the Rural ITS topics to be integrated into the 2025 program. The technical program will paint an realistic, forward-looking perspective of the future of surface transportation, centering on practical examples of recent advances and upcoming opportunities. With Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) funding programs now moving into their fourth year, we will explore some real-world outcomes and success stories, highlight new technology and innovation, and frame many of the conversations around both the core and emerging areas of rural transportation practice. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate how safety and operations improvements are the result of people-oriented planning and engineering.
We will be again joining ITE in 2025 as part of their in-person Annual Meeting and Exhibition in Orlando, Florida and will be integrating some new ideas and networking events. Moving toward the conference dates August 10-13, 2025, additional information will be forthcoming. The National Rural ITS Conference will provide participants a one-stop resource focusing on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) implementation in rural and local communities and the opportunity to hear new and thoughtful perspectives from a wide variety of ITS-related topics. In addition, there is specific content incorporated into the program on grant applications to jump start ITS projects in small and rural communities. The many different training and networking opportunities available through this event will provide participants with the tools necessary to effectively plan and deploy ITS technologies within your own jurisdictions.
